ABOUT THIS COURSE

Musculoskeletal conditions of the lower extremities are common in both athletic and non-athletic populations. No matter if the pain originates from a tendon, a ligament or cartilage, loading programmes are commonly used treatment options. However, a loading programme is not a one size fits all solution and tailoring exercises to the individual is of great importance. The learning objectives of this course are to:

1) Gain a greater knowledge of different evidence-based loading programmes for different lower-extremity musculoskeletal conditions;

2) Gain a greater knowledge of other approaches to loading used by athletes that may inspire our work with non-athletic patients;

3) Have up-to-date knowledge of how to improve exercise compliance;

4) Be able to prescribe a thorough loading programme for patients using principles used for also improving performance.
